We had some free time in December over the New year so we decided to venture to Hamburg and it was a great decision. It is such a vibrant city and the Christmas Market was amazing.
There were so many beautiful buildings, parks, walks and the vibe would change as you walked around. We were staying in an Airbnb near the Aubenalster lake which was stunning, this is where we watched the fireworks which were breathtaking. The curving building following the water canals were great and we loved seeing the radio tower from lots of different angles.
We took so many photos as there was so much to see and do. It is a great place and I recommend a three day or longer trip to see everything properly. Also prepare to walk a lot it's a big place.
